Does the Slope Aspect Influence the Soil Organic Matter Concentration in Forest Soils?
نویسندگان
چکیده
Forest soils belong to the major carbon sinks on Earth because of their high organic matter content. from Europe store approximately 1.5 times more than trees (EC/UN-ECE 2003). As dystric cambisol (2,292,385 ha) and eutric (869,909 are most widespread forest in Romania, we studied 5958 pedogenetic horizons 6784 horizons. A series correlations was made between soil elevation, but also with tree age stand production class. The differences stratified terms slope aspect categories were tested, multiple linear regression used determine influences some relief (elevation) (age) characteristics Overall, content increased increasing elevation. Based all 12,742 samples over a period 33 years, is influenced by elevation age, especially shaded partially aspects.

Assessment the effect of Slope aspect and position on some soil microbial indices in rangeland and forest
Extended abstract Introduction Topography is one of the effective factors in soil formation and development. Topographical features such as slope aspect and position, by affecting soil temperature, evaporation capacity, soil moisture content, soil organic matter, precipitation, movement, and accumulation of soil solution can impress soil microbial properties. For investigating the ...
متن کاملThe Ultimate Soil Survey in One Pass: Soil Texture, Organic Matter, Ph, Elevation, Slope, and Curvature
The goal of accurately mapping soil variability preceded GPS-aided agriculture, and has been a challenging aspect of precision agriculture since its inception. Many studies have found the range of spatial dependence is shorter than the distances used in most grid sampling. Other studies have examined variability within government soil surveys and concluded that they have limited utility in many...
متن کاملDoes Soil Organic Matter Chemistry Have Influence on the Sorption of Diuron?
The influence of organic matter chemistry on the sorption of diuron to soils collected from a small field (2 ha) was investigated. Organic carbon-normalized sorption coefficients (K ), determined by batch OC sorption, varied between 405 and 598 L kg amongst 10 A11 horizons and between 547 and 975 L kg amongst 1 1 10 matching A12 horizons. In all cases K was greater for the A12 horizon than the ...
متن کاملLitter input decreased the response of soil organic matter decomposition to warming in two subtropical forest soils
Interaction effect of temperature and litter input on SOM decomposition is poor understood, restricting accurate prediction of the dynamics and stocks of soil organic carbon under global warming. To address this knowledge gap, we conducted an incubation experiment by adding (13)C labeled leaf-litter into a coniferous forest (CF) soil and a broadleaved forest (BF) soil. In this experiment, respo...
متن کاملSoil Organic Matter Quality From Soils Cropped by Traditional Peasants
In this work we have analyzed soil samples from Oxisols collected from two traditional communities, one formed by Guarany Indians at South of Brazil and other by African descendants on North of Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil. The content and fractional composition of humus was investigated and the isolated humic acids (HAs) were characterized by elemental composition, C solid-state nuclear magnet...
